Students display talent in Roller Skating championship organized by BOMIS Jammu

Jammu, Nov 18: BOMIS Jammu took pride in hosting the two-day Inter-School Roller Skating Championship 2022-23 in association with Sahodya School Complex Jammu.
On Second day of Inter- school Roller skating Championship.  The Chief Guest of the occasion Bhisham Batra, Director Batra Group and Guests of Honours Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School, KCS Mehta, Principal of IDPS Akhnoor and Distinguished Guest Upasana graced the occasion with their inspiring presence and inaugurated the championship by lighting the lamp. Addressing the participants on the occasion, the chief said that both academics and sports are equally important for the overall development of children and he also motivated the participants to perform well.
After that the school Principal, Mrs. Aparana Kohli welcomed the guests as well as the participants from various schools. She also highlighted that winning and losing are only part of the game. One must enjoy the game and play well, then we will be the real winners. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the students, teachers and parents at the inter- school roller skating championship, Aparana Kohli, Principal of the school, said that BOMIS Jammu is committed to the intellectual and physical development of its students and this championship is a part of these efforts. Thereafter, the Chief Guest declared the championship open.
 
On the second day of the competition, student participants from several schools of Jammu displayed their sporting talent, technique and agility in various events and won applause from the audience. Students from nearly 50 schools of Jammu participated in inter- school roller skating competition. Participants showcased an impressive display of balance on roller skates, control on speed and outstanding technique which won great applause from the audience.
 
The contestants competed with each other in 300 m and 500 m skating races respectively, as per their age groups. All the participants were given participation certificates and the winners were awarded with medals and accolades.
