Srinagar Sector CRPF organises Yoga session at SKICC

Srinagar, June 17: In celebration of the International Yoga Day, a special yoga session was organized by Srinagar Sector, CRPF at SKICC on Saturday. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG, Srinagar Sector, Ms. Nitu Bhattacharya, DIG, R. S. Rawat, DIG, Kishor Prasad, DIG, Jaidev Kesri, DIG among other officers.
The session aimed to highlight the relevance and significance of yoga in today’s fast-paced world, particularly for security force personnel, while emphasizing its benefits for civilians as well.
The International Yoga Day, observed annually on June 21st, was established by the United Nations to promote the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals worldwide. It serves as a reminder of the importance of incorporating yoga into our lives for achieving harmony and balance.
During the yoga session, participants were guided through a series of asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques by experienced yoga instructors. The session focused on enhancing physical fitness, reducing stress, and fostering mental resilience. Participants had the opportunity to experience the positive impact of yoga firsthand, gaining insights into its transformative powers.
In his message to the attendees, Sh. Yadav highlighted the profound benefits of yoga and its relevance to the lives of security force personnel and civilians alike. He emphasized the role of yoga in promoting physical fitness, improving concentration, reducing stress levels, and enhancing overall well-being.
He also spoke about India’s significant contributions in popularizing yoga globally. With the support of the Indian government, numerous initiatives have been undertaken to make yoga more accessible to people around the world. India’s age-old tradition of yoga has not only improved the lives of millions within the country but has also brought yoga closer to the global community.
The yoga session received overwhelming participation and appreciation from all attendees. It served as a testament to the growing recognition of yoga’s importance in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The event encouraged security force personnel and civilians to incorporate yoga into their daily routines, helping them navigate the challenges of modern life with resilience and inner strength.
Organizing such events during the International Yoga Day highlights the commitment of CRPF, Srinagar Sector towards the well-being and holistic development of its personnel and the communities they serve.
