Srinagar, May 11: HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, based in Delhi, is set to organize a Neurology Science and Oncology Science Outpatient Department (OPD) at Florence Hospital in Srinagar on May 13th.
The event aims to provide the local community with access to high-quality medical care, with a focus on offering the best possible care and accessible healthcare services to the people of Srinagar. The initiative aims to help individuals suffering from neurological disorders and cancer by providing expert consultation and treatment by renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Anurag Saxena and cancer specialist Dr. Anandi Pachaury from HCMCT Manipal Hospital.
With an increasing prevalence of neurological disorders and cancer, including conditions like epilepsy, stroke, Bell’s palsy, and Alzheimer’s, prioritizing regular health check-ups and early detection is crucial. Ignoring symptoms and delaying treatment can lead to lifelong disability and accidents. Early detection and diagnosis of cancer are also critical for successful treatment and faster recovery.
Dr. Anurag Saxena, HOD and Consultant, Department of Neurosurgery, HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka, stated, “Neurological disorders can occur suddenly or develop over time. People experiencing symptoms such as headaches, memory gaps, difficulty in coordination, and numbness in limbs could have neurological issues and must seek consultation immediately. Neurological disorders can occur due to a family history of disease, malnutrition, injuries, and viral infections. Therefore, I hope that more and more people will come to the OPD and receive proper consultation and guidance on managing their neurological health.”
Dr. Anandi Pachaury, Consultant – Surgical Oncology, HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka, said, “Cancer diagnosis in an individual may bring psychological trauma to a family. But with evolving technology and improved surgical procedures, newer chemotherapy drugs, targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and the latest radiotherapeutic machines, most of the patients can be treated and cured. Regular check-ups are important for early detection and timely diagnosis, so that cancer can be caught early and treated efficiently with minimal damage to the patient.”
The initiative by HCMCT Manipal Hospitals is expected to benefit the people of Srinagar and improve their access to quality healthcare.
