Shiv Sena (UBT) demands action against Rohingyas in J&K

Jammu, Dec 11: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit president, Manish Sahni on Wednesday criticised the administration for what he termed as preferential treatment toward Rohingyas and illegal intruders while ignoring the needs of local residents.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party’s state central office, Sahni alleged that basic amenities like electricity and water are not being adequately provided to local citizens. He condemned recent administrative actions allegedly targeting poor local vendors setting up fruit and vegetable stalls in areas like Narwal and Gandhi Nagar to earn their livelihood.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader expressed outrage over what he called an advocacy for providing facilities to Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals who are illegally residing in the sensitive Jammu and Kashmir region. “These illegal intruders should be pushed out of the country and state borders instead of being given facilities,” he said.
Sahni urged Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take a strict stance similar to that of Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor in dealing with Rohingyas. He criticised those advocating for sympathy or support for these groups.
“What kind of sympathy can there be for those involved in crimes, thefts, human trafficking and drug trade?” he asked.
The Shiv Sena leader called for decisive action to prioritise the needs and livelihoods of local residents while curbing what he described as the unchecked presence of illegal migrants.
