Jammu, Aug 27: Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates filed their nominations from Bhaderwah, Ramban and Doda, in the first phase of the Jammu & Kashmir assembly elections.
The nominations were submitted in the presence of party state chief Manish Sahni, accompanied by hundreds of supporters and lively drum beats, the party said in a statement.
Vinod Kotwal filed his nomination for the Bhaderwah-51 assembly constituency, Tilak Raj for Ramban, and Tilak Shan for Doda (West). Sahni appealed to the public to support Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates to restore their rights and promised improvements in several areas.
He outlined commitments to better healthcare and education facilities, anti-corruption measures, toll-free Jammu and Kashmir, free electricity and water, unemployment allowances, rights for PoJK displaced people, permanent jobs for daily wagers, and the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits.
The event was also attended by General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Balwant Singh, and other party members.
