Sankalp Hub for Women Empowerment hosts 3-day Digital Literacy Workshop for girls

Kishtwar, May 27: In a significant move to promote digital literacy among young women, the Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women under Mission Shakti Kishtwar has initiated a week-long workshop on Digital Literacy and Basic Computer Skills. The workshop commenced on Monday at Government Girls High School Sangrambhata here under the guidance of District Social Welfare Officer Tariq Parvez Qazi.
The initiative aims to equip participants with essential digital skills, empowering them to navigate the digital world effectively and improve their personal and professional prospects. The workshop focuses on foundational computer skills, internet usage, and understanding digital tools that are vital in today’s technology-driven society.
The opening session witnessed the presence of the Mission Shakti team, resource persons, and eager trainees. The participants were sensitized to the critical importance of computer skill development, particularly for girl students.
The speakers emphasized how such skills build a strong foundation, enabling girls to access broader educational and career opportunities.
The importance of digitalization in the modern era was highlighted, showcasing how proficiency in digital skills can significantly impact various aspects of life, from education to employment. The workshop intends to break the barriers of digital illiteracy and provide the girls with the confidence and competence to thrive in a digitally evolving world.
The Speakers expressed their vision for the workshop, stating, “In today’s world, digital literacy is not just an advantage but a necessity. This workshop is designed to ensure that our girls are not left behind in the digital revolution. We aim to empower them with the skills required to succeed in various fields.”
The workshop will cover a range of topics with each session designed to be interactive, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge.
The Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, through Mission Shakti, is committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women through various educational and skill development programs. This digital literacy workshop is a testament to their ongoing efforts to create an inclusive environment where girls can achieve their full potential.
The administration and faculty at Government Girls High School Sangrambhata expressed gratitude to the Mission Shakti team and resource persons for organizing this crucial workshop.
