The Sanctorum Public School Sopore ended up as the runner-up in the second phase of the Youth Football Championship, held at AB Plaza in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. The school team, who won against Ursline Convent School and Maharana Pratap Sports College, fell short in the final match, losing 3-1 to Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand.

The tournament, organized by Extra Marks in partnership with Arsenal Football Club, featured 20 teams in the second phase. The coaches and technical team of Arsenal Football Club, including Baichung Bhutia, were present to appreciate the players’ performance.

Shakir Ashraf, Managing Director of Sanctorum Institute, said, “I am proud of the team’s success and dedication, and I dedicate this achievement to those who worked hard to make it possible.” He acknowledged the runner-up position but said that the team learned a lot from the tournament and will strive to come out as champions next time.

Ashraf also congratulated Team Manager Rameez Maqbool, In-charge Teacher Muzaffer Ahmad, and official team photographer Junaid Bhat for their efforts.

In conclusion, despite the loss, the Sanctorum Public School Sopore team demonstrated their sportsmanship and determination to improve for future tournaments.
