Rajouri, Aug 31: RPHQ Rajouri organised a farewell function on the superannuation of Inspector Mohd Ashraf Magray who retired on Thursday.
The officer had joined the department in the year 1989 as a constable in the Executive Police in district Kathua. He remained posted in different police wings, and districts and rendered his relentless and unblemished services in the police department to the satisfaction of senior formations for more than 34 years to reach the rank of Inspector.
A colourful retirement function was organised at RPHQ Rajouri by his colleagues. The officers and officials of RPHQ Rajouri and District Police Rajouri attended the function. These included Dy Inspector General of Police, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal (IPS), SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS), SP Hqrs Vivek Sheikhar (JKPS), DySP Hqrs Mudassar Hussain (JKPS), DySP DAR Purapkar Singh (JKPS), DySP Ops Shammi Kumar (JKPS), Parvez Alam, SO RPHQ, Sunil K Dhar, Aejaz Ahmed SHO P/S Rajouri, Inspector Kirtan Bhushan, Inspector Ashfaq Mughal, and a few family members and friends of the retiring officer.
During the function, the officers lauded the services rendered by the retiring officer. A welfare gift of Rs one lakh was presented to him by the DIG RP Range. The welfare gift to the retiring officers on their superannuation from the department is a custom known in the police department only.
Inspector Mohd Ashraf Magray thanked all the ranks of J&K Police in general and RPHQ Rajouri in particular for their support, affection and cooperation during his service career. Later, personal gifts were also presented to the retiring officer and the function ended with a vote of thanks and group photographs with the retiring officer.
