Srinagar, Aug 30: In view of the prevailing crises regarding the supply of unsafe mutton in valley and its huge impact on hotel and restaurant business, a comprehensive meeting was held with the Directorate of Food safety and standards, wherein the association expressed it grave concern on the issue.According to a statement issued here, the authorities were informed of the continuous campaign causing more than 80% impact on the hotel and restaurant sector, is the most serious concern.The delegation wanted to have complete clarity on the issue in regard to the involvement of persons in this heinous crime and bring them to the book with heavy penalties and sentences under law. The authorities assured the delegation that they are in process to make the involved ones public, with all facts and figures. In the meanwhile, the authorities have acted swiftly by cancelling the licenses of nine prominent units. The delegation appreciated the role of FSSIA authorities in dealing with the situation with heavy hands. The authorities have further assured the delegation to come out with a detailed report very soon so that the issue is finally made public and the criminals are brought to the book.
