Srinagar, Apr 02: Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, the chairman of Kashmir Society International and Tahreek-e-Dawat-e-Tasawuf, led a prominent delegation of scholars and religious leaders in an engagement with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a revered religious and spiritual figure in Kashmir.
The meeting took place at the Mirwaiz Manzil residence in Nigeen Hazratbal, where discussions focused on the foundational values of Tasawuf, Aitqaad, and the promotion of mutual brotherhood, Renzushah said in a statement issued here.
The delegation included well-regarded scholars such as Sheikh Faheem Farooq, Duha Furqan Manzoor, Javid Sahib and Farooq Saaznawaz, who participated in the exchange of ideas and goodwill on the occasion of Eid, the statement said.
During the visit, Khwaja Renzushah conveyed Eid Mubarak wishes to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and his team. In a gesture of respect and cultural significance, Mirwaiz Umar presented the delegation with the latest edition of the Tafseer of the Holy Quran Sharief, authored by Moulana Yousuf Shah. He also gifted a highly regarded book on Moulana Mohammad Farooq (RA), highlighting his spiritual contributions to the region.
Mirwaiz, according to the statement, highlighted the immense impact of revered figures such as Hazrat Abdul Rahman Bulbushah and Shah Hamdan, acknowledging their roles in solidifying the foundations of Tasawuf, Renaissance, secularism and the spirit of mutuality within Kashmiri society.
Khwaja Renzushah expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous gesture and stressed the importance of fostering unity and celebrating the rich spiritual heritage of Kashmir.
