Reasi, Aug 01: Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik today chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for two major upcoming events—the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh and the launch of the 7-day Aakansha Haat at the Spiritual Growth Center, Katra scheduled for 2nd August at 10:00 AM.A statement issued here said that the Deputy Commissioner reviewed preparations for Aakansha Haat, a week-long event aimed at promoting local crafts, SHG products and farmers’ produce. The event will feature exhibitions and sales, while also serving as a platform for public awareness and on-the-spot delivery of government welfare schemes. DC Nidhi Malik directed all departments to set up stalls offering services, products, and direct engagement with the public. Banks will also extend on-spot support for loan-related services. She further added that outstanding stalls, artisans with unique products and highest sales will receive special recognition and felicitation. In the same meeting, the DC Reasi also reviewed preparations for the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh, which will honor the achievements under the Sampoornata Abhiyan held from July to September 2024. The campaign focused on achieving saturation of six critical indicators in Aspirational Districts and Blocks. Thakrakote Block has shown exceptional progress, with other areas nearing completion of key targets. The Samaroh will recognize the contributions of officials, frontline workers and stakeholders who played a key role in this milestone.Emphasising the importance of coordination and proactive participation, the Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to ensure smooth execution and meaningful community engagement during both events. The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, PO ICDS, LDM, CMO and other concerned officers from line departments.
