Reasi admn celebrates ‘World Heritage Day’

Reasi, Apr 18: To mark World Heritage Day, District Administration Reasi, under the guidance of District Development Commissioner, Babila Rakwal, conducted cleanliness drives at various ancient heritage sites and water bodies on Tuesday.
World Heritage Day is celebrated every year on April 18 to preserve the human heritage, diversity and vulnerability of the World’s built monuments and heritage sites.
The cleanliness drive was conducted at the ancient Bhumika temple in Katra; Bhimgarh Fort, Reasi and heritage bowlies in different Panchayats of district Reasi.
In the early morning hours, a cleanliness drive was conducted at Bhim Garh Fort, Reasi by the NCC Cadets of Government Higher Secondary School (Boys).
Similarly, a cleanliness drive and heritage walk were also organized at Bhumika temple, Katra, ancient Bowli at Chania near Shiv Mandir W.No: 3 Garan, Katra; step well at Chapanoo, Kanjli; ancient Aghar Jitto Temple; Dev Sthaan Gari & Jamia Masjid Nakka Block (Jij Bagli) and Shiv Temple Kakryal, Panchayat Sirah Kotla. A large number of locals and PRIs participated in the programme.
