Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said he could not visit the cloudburst-affected areas of Kishtwar due to inclement weather but reviewed the ground situation at Chishoti village through video conferencing from Jammu.
Singh lauded the swift response of the State administration, Army, NDRF, SDRF and J&K Police in carrying out rescue and relief operations in the crisis-hit region.
“It is heartening to note that all agencies have done excellent work during this crisis situation,” the Defence Minister said.
He further assured that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is leaving “no stone unturned” to provide relief and rehabilitation to the victims of the tragic incident.
