Anantnag, Sept 11: Under the aegis of Civic Action Programme-2025 and in alignment with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Police in Anantnag organised a comprehensive Medical Camp on Drug Abuse at Khiram Srigufwara. The initiative was aimed at addressing the growing concern of substance abuse and promoting general health awareness among the local population.
According to a statement issued here, the camp witnessed the active participation of qualified doctors, police officers, and members of the local community. During the event, doctors provided medical treatment and counselling to individuals affected by drug addiction. In addition, the camp extended health services to patients suffering from heart ailments and those using cardiac medications, ensuring broader healthcare coverage.
Senior officers from the police administration emphasized the significance of community engagement in the fight against drug abuse and reiterated the police department’s commitment to public welfare through such outreach initiatives. They also encouraged individuals struggling with addiction to seek help and assured full support from both the police and medical professionals.
