Srinagar, Dec 24: On the second day of the 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament organized by J&K Police, six matches were played on Saturday – three at TRC Football Ground Srinagar, and three at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar.
Match No. 05
The match started at 1100 hrs between Titans FC Kashmir vs DFA Jammu A at Bakshi Stadium in presence of Javed Ah Dar, I/C CO-IRP 21st Bn. The match was won by Jammu A by 2:0 goals. Both goals of the match were scored by Aditya Mahajan Jersey No. 07 in the 11th and 29th minutes. He was awarded Man of the Match.
Match No. 06
The match started at 1230 hrs between J&K Forest vs DFA Kupwara at Bakshi Stadium in presence of Sukhdev Raj, I/C CO JKAP 9th Bn. The match was won by J&K Forest by 5:3 via tiebreaker. The goal scorers of the J&K Forest team include Rizwan, Nasir, Javaid, Khaliq Umar and Ashiq Mushtaq, and from the losing team, goals were scored by Mahi Usma, Malik Imtiyaz and Mohd Amin. The Man of the Match was awarded to Ashiq Mushtaq Jersey No. 16 from the winning team.
Match No. 07
The match started at 1400 hrs between DFA Kulgam vs Zone Pattan at Bakshi Stadium in presence of Safder Hameed Hussain Samoon Dy. CO IRP 6th Bn. The match was won by Zone Pattan by 3:1. The 1st goal was scored by Mohd Rafiq in the 23rd minute by Jersey No. 14; the 2nd and 3rd goals were scored by Nasir Ahmad Jersey No. 07 in the 43rd and 47th minute. The lone goal was scored by DFA Kulgam by AbrarFayaz jersey No. 04 in the 34th minute. The Man of the Match was awarded to Nasir Ahmad Jersey No. 07 of the winning team.
Match No. 08
The match started at 1100 hrs between DFA Jammu B vs Zone Handwara at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Abdul Qayoom-IPS Commandant IRP-9th Bn. The match was won by DFA Jammu B by 2:0 goals. Both goals were scored by Paris Bashin Jersey No. 16 in the 26th & 35th minute. He was awarded Man of the Match.
Match No. 09
The match started at 1230 hrs between Zone Hajin vs Zone Rafi Abad at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Commandant IRP-10th Bn. The match was won by Zone Hajin by 6:1. The 1st, 2nd and 4th goals were scored by Gowhar Majeed Jersey No. 06, while the 3rd goal was scored by Rashid Shakeel in the 35th minute. The 5th goal was scored by Adil Yousuf and the 6th goal by Owais Altaf, while a lone goal was scored by Danish of Zone Rafiabad. The Man of the Match was awarded to Gowhar Majeed for his brilliant performance and first hat trick.
Match No. 10
The match started at 1400 hrs between IFC Kashmir vs DFA Ganderbal at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Shabir Ahmad, Dy.CO JKAP 5th Bn. The match was won by IFC Kashmir by 5:4 via a tiebreaker. The goal scorers of IFC Kashmir include Asif, Ishfaq Ali, Faisal, Zahid and Talib and from the runner-up team, the goals were scored by Nadeem, Mustafa, and Aadil. The Man of the Match was awarded to Azhar Bashir Jersey No. 01 (goalkeeper) of the winning team.
