Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a great gift to the women of the country by reducing the prices of the LPG cylinder.
“Yesterday, PM gave a great gift to the women of the country… In Odisha when PM Modi took the responsibility there were 20-22 per cent LPG connections. In Odisha, there are 1 crore households, out of which 21 lakh houses have LPG connections. Now this number has increased to 96 lakhs. In this 53 lakhs, connections are under Ujjwala Yojana…” Dharmendra Pradhan said while speaking to reporters.
The Centre had on Tuesday announced a reduction in the prices of cooking gas by Rs 200 per cylinder.
