PM congratulates on the successful Kargil International Marathon

New Delhi, Sep 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the participants and organizers of the 6th Kargil International Marathon, held amidst the breathtaking landscape of Kargil, Ladakh on the 17th and 18th of September 2023.
In a special message, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of sports in fostering holistic development and nurturing physical and mental toughness. He commended the remarkable progress made in the past nine years, emphasizing how various initiatives have provided top-notch sporting infrastructure and opportunities for athletes, particularly from rural areas and smaller cities, who are now making their mark on the global stage.
 
PM Modi underscored the broader importance of sports, transcending mere medals and victories, as he underlined the government’s commitment to promoting fitness and good health. Initiatives such as the Fit India movement and various marathons have witnessed enthusiastic participation from the people, contributing to the nation’s overall well-being.
 
The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that events like the Sarhad Kargil International Marathon play a vital role in raising awareness among the masses, aligning with India’s journey toward becoming a sporting superpower and building a healthier nation.
 
As India strides forward during Amrit Kaal, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the collective efforts required to build a glorious, developed India. He concluded his message with warm congratulations and greetings to all participants and individuals involved in the Sarhad Kargil International Marathon, which saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 2,300 people from across the globe.
 
The Kargil International Marathon continues to be a symbol of unity, endurance, and the nation’s commitment to a healthier and more prosperous future.
