Srinagar, Apr 10: To address the vacancies for headmaster positions in Government Schools across Jammu and Kashmir, the School Education Department (SED) has issued an order on Thursday appointing 551 masters to oversee these roles temporarily.
As per the official directive from Shantmanu, the Additional Chief Secretary of the School Education Department, a total of 269 masters in the Kashmir division and 282 masters in the Jammu division have been assigned the responsibility of acting headmasters or equivalent positions, effective immediately, until these posts are permanently filled through the DPC/PSC process.
This assignment is contingent upon the following conditions:
The officers must report to the respective Chief Education Officer within 10 days of the order’s issuance. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their assignment from the outset, without further notice.
This assignment does not grant any preferential rights or claims for regularization or confirmation, which will be evaluated strictly according to established procedures and require clearance from JKPSC/DPC.
The assignment is subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions before competent courts.
Officers are required to submit an undertaking to the relevant CEO, affirming that if their service details or academic qualifications are found to be fraudulent, altered, or issued by an unrecognized institution, their assignment will be nullified from the outset.
Should any agency provide an adverse report regarding an officer, their assignment will also be canceled from the outset.
This assignment is strictly temporary, and in the interest of administrative efficiency, these officers may be transferred at any time, with no entitlement to claim such a position.
