New Balance Hangha triumphs in nail-biting final, lifts Hangha super championship 2023

Srinagar, July 20: In a thrilling cricket match, the New Balance Hangha (NBH) team of Mawer emerged victorious in the Hangha Super Championship 2023, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork. 
 
The match, held on a sunny Thursday in Eidgah ground, Jamia Sports Gushi winning the toss and opting to bat first. They set a challenging target of 193 runs on the board in just 18 overs.
 
Undeterred by the substantial target, the New Balance Hangha team stepped up to the challenge and began their chase with determination and finesse. 
 
Displaying an impressive show of batting prowess, the NBH team managed to clinch victory in the 17th over, with 4 wickets remaining. The star of the match was Ab Rashid, whose all-around brilliance earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match. Additionally, Mohsin Bhat’s remarkable knock of 48 not out secured him the award of Most Valuable Player.
 
Behind the scenes, the managing body, comprising Tariq Habib, Manzoor Bhat, Tanveer Qureshi, and Mir Mehraj, played an integral role in organizing and ensuring the successful execution of the championship.
 
As a token of appreciation and recognition, the winners received a grand prize of cash amounting to rupees 30,000 along with gleaming trophies. The runners-up, Jamia Sports Gushi, were awarded rupees 15,000 and trophies for their commendable efforts and spirited performance in the closely contested final match.
 
The Hangha Super Championship 2023 will undoubtedly be etched in the memories of cricket enthusiasts for its enthralling battles, outstanding individual performances, and camaraderie among the teams.
