NC’s Babu Rampaul hails ‘untiring approach’ of media persons

Jammu, Jan 12: On the eve of Lohri festival, Dr Vikas Sharma, Zonal Secretary National Conference and District Coordinator Jammu on Sunday organised a function to felicitate the media-persons of Jammu.
Former minister and President Central Zone (Jammu, Samba & Kathua) NC, Babu Rampaul was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Ankush Abrol, Provincial Joint Secretary NC was the Guest of Honor.
On this occasion, all the invited journalists were felicitated by the NC leaders and presented with usable articles as a token of love on the eve of Lohri festivals.
While acknowledging the role played by media persons in the development of society, Babu Rampaul expressed gratitude to them for working day and night to highlight the plight of people through their respective platforms.
He said that being the fourth pillar of democracy, their role turns out to be of paramount importance as people have impeccable faith in them and expect them to highlight their issues before the administration and government.
Ankush Abrol lauded the dedication and selfless approach of media persons who work day and night to ensure complete coverage of all the events that take place across Jammu. He expressed gratitude to them.
Abrol said that all sections of society get adequate coverage in electronic or print media which is a highly commendable task, he added.
Dr Vikas Sharma also lauded them and saluted Media persons for their dedication towards their profession as media persons braving harsh weather conditions to perform their duties while facing hardships and several other issues.
At the end, the NC leaders extended Lohri greetings to all the media persons and wished them a great time ahead.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Adv Rajinder Chamyal Zonal Vice-President, Rahul Mahajan Zonal Vice-President, BD Dalotra Zonal Secretary, Bharat Bhushan Zonal Secretary, Rajinder Kumar,
Sahil Kerni Secretary Jammu District YNC, Rahul Gupta ward President, Abhimanyu Sharma, Manan Raina, Sourab Bhagat, Siddhart Barua, Tarun Sharma, Yogesh Sharma, Avinish Angotra and others.
