NATIONAL KICKBOXING CHAMPIONSHIP, CHANDIGARH: J&K team wins 5 Gold, 3 Silver, 14 Bronze medals

Srinagar, Dec 3: The 36-member team of Kickboxing from UT, J&K participated in the cadet, Junior and senior (Male & Female) National Kickboxing Championship 2022. The championship was held at Badminton Hall of Chandigarh University from November 27 to 30. 2022.
The opening ceremony was conducted at Chandigarh University Auditorium and the chief guest was Anil Sood, General Secretary BJP UT, Chandigarh and the guest of honour was chancellor of Chandigarh University Dr S S Sandhu. Around 800 players from the country participated in this event.
The team championship trophy went to Maharashtra state followed by Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan states respectively. The Jammu and Kashmir kickboxing team won 5 gold, 3 silver and 14 bronze medals in their respective weight categories and the list of winning players are as under:
Gold Medal: Numan Qureshi, Numan Rather, Mubeena Bano, Basit Fayaz and Aqib Dar.
Silver Medal: Dar Tawqeer Ul Islam, Fariq ul Islam and Abira Banday.
Bronze Medal: Shah Ayoub, Rayaan Manzoor, Waleed Majaid, Muneeb Sajad, Umer Lone, Syed Labeeb, Shafayat Dar, Ahmed Javaid, Arsalan Beigh, Wahida Jan, Zubaida Akhter, Mir Sana, Farhana Syed, Sofiya and Raheela.
