Budgam, Oct 12: Newly elected MLA from the Beerwah Assembly Constituency, Dr Mohammad Shafi Wani on Saturday said that his responsibilities have increased following his selection as the representative by the voters in the assembly elections.
Speaking with Rising Kashmir, Dr Wani conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the electorate for their support in electing him as their MLA. He said this honour comes with a greater obligation to address the needs and challenges faced by the people.
“Omar Abdullah will be our chief minister, and we will establish a government in Jammu and Kashmir that is dedicated to resolving the issues faced by its residents,” he said.
The MLA-elect Beerwah said the success of the National Conference-Congress alliance in the assembly elections was due to the strong backing of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The people have voted against the BJP, as they seek a government that is elected by them and committed to their welfare,” Dr Shafi said.
