Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday paid tribute to the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, one of the most prominent political figures from Kashmir, on his 9th death anniversary.
Remembering the former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah said, “Mufti Sahib was one of the most senior political leaders to emerge from Kashmir, having served in various ministries in the Union Government and been elected Chief Minister of J&K twice. His death left a gap in the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir that remains unfilled.”
He expressed prayers for the departed leader, saying, “May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat.”
