Ramban, Jan 24: The fourth day of the ongoing Swachhtantra campaign, organised to celebrate the 76th Republic Day, witnessed a series of impactful activities under the theme “Go Green, Breathe Clean”.
The event was presided over by MLA Ramban, Arjun Singh Raju and conducted by the Municipal Council Ramban under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
The day began with a quiz competition on the Swachhta Abhiyan, where students showcased their knowledge and commitment to cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
The MLA, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner VarunJeet Singh Charak, participated in a plantation drive in the compound of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramban. They planted saplings of Silver Oak, Cupress, Raitha, and Bhumunyia to promote green cover and environmental awareness.
Highlighting the spirit of Swachhta, the MLA led a Swachhta Rally, accompanied by students and prominent citizens, through the streets of Ramban town. The rally echoed the campaign’s special theme, “Gantantra Se Desh Mahan, Swachhta Se Desh Ki Shaan,” emphasising the importance of cleanliness in building a strong and proud nation.
The Swachhtantra campaign, through its activities like plantation and community participation, continues to inspire citizens to contribute to a cleaner, greener Ramban while celebrating the values of the Republic.
CEO MC Ramban, Sudershan Jamwal, Principal GHSS Ramban Parshotam Kumar and various other officers and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
