Jammu, Sept 11: Member of Legislative assembly (MLA) Bahu Ch Vikram Randhawa on Thursday inaugurated two key development projects aimed at improving civic infrastructure in Ward No. 44 (Nanak Nagar) and Ward No. 46 (Sanjay Nagar).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), former Deputy Mayor Baldev Billowria, District President Naresh Singh, Mandal Presidents Rahul Kumar and Ritika Dhiman, along with local residents and dignitaries.
“These projects, focusing on construction of lanes and drains, address long-standing demands of the local communities, promising to enhance sanitation and facilitate smoother daily life for residents,” the MLA’s office said in a statement issued here. “The initiatives mark a significant step towards inclusive development and upgrading infrastructure at the grassroots level.”
Speaking at the event, MLA Randhawa highlighted the government’s commitment to meeting the basic needs of citizens. He said, “The residents of Nanak Nagar and Sanjay Nagar have waited patiently for these developments. Today, we have taken the first step in fulfilling those promises. I thank the officials and party workers who made this possible. Together, we will continue working for a better and cleaner Jammu. These projects reflect our focus on inclusive development, ensuring no ward is left behind in progress.”
Former Deputy Mayor Baldev Billowria called for grassroots development, while District President Naresh Singh reiterated the government’s dedication to prompt issue resolution and benefitting every resident through various schemes.
Residents expressed their gratitude, appreciating the timely initiation of these projects and their hope for improved living conditions, the statement added.
