Missing Ganderbal Youth Found Dead in Nallah Sindh After 14-Day Search

Ganderbal, May 8: A wave of grief spread across Ganderbal after the body of missing youth Muneer Ahmad Shah was recovered from Nallah Sindh in Wussan Bella , ending a painful 14-day search operation.

Muneer, son of Mehboob Shah, had reportedly drowned nearly two weeks ago, prompting an extensive rescue mission involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, SDRF teams from Ganderbal, Manasbal, and Gund, along with local volunteers and residents.

Officials said the body was found close to the area where the young man had gone missing. After recovery, the body was shifted for legal and medical formalities, while further proceedings are underway.

For the past two weeks, rescue teams and locals had continued relentless efforts in difficult conditions, hoping to find Muneer alive. The tragic outcome has left the entire area mourning the loss of a young life.

Residents expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the bereaved family, calling the tragedy heartbreaking for the whole community.
