Mayor holds meeting to review activities taken under Back to Town 2.0

Srinagar, Dec 06: The city mayor on Tuesday held a meeting with all concerned officers to review the program “My Town, My Pride 2.0” at the corporate hall here.
The nodal officer designated for “My Town, My Pride” 2.0 presented a detailed report on various projects taken up for the beautification of the city. Later, a question-and-answer session was held between the corporators and officials from various departments.
During the threadbare interaction among dignitaries in the meeting, the Mayor assured the timely response and fulfilment of queries raised by the Corporators.
According to SMC officials, the following people were present at the meeting: Secretary H&UDD, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Commissioner SMC (Additional Charge)/Vice Chairman LCMA, Director Industries, Kashmir, Director Tourism, Kashmir, Dy. Director SDA, Superintendent of Police, CEO, Secretary, J&K buildings and others, Construction Works Welfare Board, Mission Director, ICDS Kashmir, Joint Commissioner’s SMC, Secretary SMC Assistant Controller, Legal Meteorology Consumer Protection Srinagar The chief guests were Shri Dheeraj Gupta, IAS, the principal secretary, and H&UDD.
It is important to note here that on Monday, the Srinagar mayor and the principal secretary of the Housing and Urban Development department launched many programmes under “My Town, My Pride” 2.0 in SK-park Srinagar.
During this program, Srinagar Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu and Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Department J&K, Dheeraj Gupta, launched many programs for the city’s residents.
On the first day of back-to-town village 2.0, Mayor Srinagar and the Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development visited Kothibagh Higher Secondary School and took a pledge for “NashaMukt Kashmir” along with students, teachers, and invited dignitaries present during the pledge-taking ceremony. After the pledge-taking ceremony, Mayor Srinagar and Principal Secretary HUDD inaugurated a volleyball match and a basketball match in the school.

Chairs meeting to discuss development activities done under “My Town My Pride”
Mayor Srinagar Juniad Azim Mattu and Principle Secretary Housing and Urban Development (H&UDD), Dheeraj Gupta along with Commissioner SMC launched a massive sanitation drive at Zero Bridge, Srinagar.
On the occasion, Mayor asked Commissioner SMC to issue directions to Urban Forestry for developing the landscape around Jhelum bund. He also asked for plantation of Pines on both sides of the river.
Later, Mayor along with Principle Secretary visited DYSSO Srinagar and took pledge on NashaMukt J&K besides flagging off a NashaMukt rally DYSSO Srinagar.
Later, a meeting was convened by Mayor Srinagar to discuss development activities done under “My Town My Pride” programme and projects taken up under Smart city.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, H&UDD, Corporators, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Commissioner SMC, Director Industries, Kashmir, Director Tourism, Kashmir, CEO/Secretary, J&K buildings and Others Construction Works Welfare Board, Mission Director, ICDS Kashmir, Superintendent of Police, all Joint Commissioners of SMC, Secretary SMC, Superintendent Engineer Drainage Circle SMC, All executive Engineers of SMC, Executive Engineer I&FC and other concerned officers.

Later, a question answer session was held between the Corporators and officials from various departments.
