Kistwhar, May 28: In a spectacular display of athletic spirit the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kishtwar Wednesday concluded the All-Zones Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions featuring a series of high-voltage matches across various sports disciplines.
The event, held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jaffer Haider Sheikh, drew participation from every zone of the district with Zone Inderwal emerging as a vibrant host of the mega sports event that captured the true essence of youth energy and sportsmanship. A remarkable 400 students from different schools across the district took part in the competitions showcasing their skills, determination and team spirit. The playing fields buzzed with enthusiasm, and every match from fast-paced athletics to thrilling cricket clashes was a testament to the untapped talent that lies within the region’s youth.
Zone Inderwal stood out as a centre of excitement hosting a wide array of matches that created an electric atmosphere for both participants and spectators. The event witnessed fierce yet friendly competitions particularly in athletics and cricket where young athletes displayed exceptional performances that won the hearts of all in attendance. The enthusiasm shown by the students and the overwhelming participation reflect a bright future for sports in Kishtwar. “Our goal is to continue nurturing talent and providing these promising athletes with every opportunity to shine,” said Jaffer Haider Sheikh. The event not only provided a competitive edge to the budding sports talent but also promoted camaraderie, fitness, and the value of teamwork among school children.
