Srinagar, Apr 05: Two unidentified terrorists were killed in joint operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army on Friday after forces foiled a major infiltration along the Line of Control in Uri Sector of north Kashmir, officials said.

An exchange of gunfire was going on when the last reports came in from the area. One dead body has been retrieved so far,’ he said.
The official said that during the wee hours, the movement of 2-3 terrorists was detected and an operation was immediately launched. During firefight two terrorists were killed, whose identities are not yet ascertained, he said.
Army spokesman said that an Infiltration bid on LoC has been foiled by alert troops in the morning hours today, when terrorists were trying to infiltrate through SaburaNala, Uri Sector. Two terrorists were killed. Operation is in progress, he said.
“We have recovered two AK Rifles, four hand grenades and other war-like stores from the spot,” the Army spokesman said.
