Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday flagged off the first batch of Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir at the Srinagar International Airport, marking the beginning of the annual spiritual journey for devotees from the Union Territory.

Extending his greetings and best wishes, LG Sinha prayed for the safe journey and spiritual fulfillment of the pilgrims. “I pray for peace and prosperity of the UT of J&K and the well-being of one and all,” he said.

Describing Haj as a divine call and a life-long dream for many, Sinha reiterated the central government’s commitment to ensuring the best possible facilities and arrangements for the pilgrims. “The sacred pilgrimage is a call from the Almighty. The government is dedicated to the well-being of every pilgrim and the sanctity of this spiritual journey,” he added.

The departure marked a moment of emotion and devotion for hundreds of pilgrims and their families gathered at the airport.
