September, 02: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora-1, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and allied sectors, successfully organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Nadihal Panchayat under the flagship initiative Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, a key component of the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP).
According to a statement issued here, the event aimed to sensitize farmers to Climate-Resilient Farming Practices, introduce scientific agricultural interventions, and create awareness about a range of government schemes and services available to the farming community.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 individuals, including progressive farmers, farm women, rural youth, and students. Experts from KVK Bandipora-1, including Dr. Tahir Saleem and Dr. Nazir Ahmad Mir, conducted technical sessions focusing on sustainable agriculture, market-oriented production systems, and entrepreneurship opportunities in the agri-sector. The sessions emphasized the adoption of modern technologies to boost productivity and farm income.
Officials from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries Departments provided in-depth information about the latest schemes, input assistance programmes, and capacity-building avenues under JKCIP and other ongoing government initiatives.
