Srinagar, July 12: Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, chairman of Kashmir Society International and Tahreek-e-Dawat-e-Tasawuf International, commended the distinguished work of Food & Supplies Department employees on Friday.
Renzushah, an ex-senior bureaucrat, particularly appreciated the efforts of the department’s union president, Aijaz Khan, and his team for their extensive network and positive contributions across Kashmir.
During the event, Renzushah praised the union for its secular and positive role in promoting the ideology of Tasawuf. He also highlighted Aijaz Khan’s significant contributions to the community through the union’s efforts.
Aijaz Khan recalled Renzushah’s pivotal role in creating the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) during the 6th Pay Commission. As Director Information and President of the KAS Officers Association, Renzushah ensured the timely release of the 6th Pay Commission benefits to over seven lakh employees.
On this occasion, Renzushah also expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister of India’s employee-friendly schemes. He expressed hope that the Central Government would announce the 8th Pay Commission in 2025, prioritizing benefits for Jammu and Kashmir employees.
