Srinagar, Aug 23: A mammoth congregation of devotees thronged the holy shrine of Littter, Pulwama on Sunday, where Khwaja Dr. Farooq Renzushah, renowned scholar of Tasawuf, reminded the faithful that Kashmir has remained the abode of Reshi and Tasawuf culture for over seven centuries.According to a statement, he said this rich spiritual heritage, nurtured by the Awaliya, maintained its glory all over the world because of the renaissance spirit inculcated in Kashmiri society. On the occasion, the holy relics of Hazrat Makhdoom Hamza Raina (RA) and Syed Ahmad Qureshi (RA) were displayed amid spiritual chants and divine slogans. The Nishandeh of the relics, Siraj-ud-Deen Makhdoomi, Chairman of the Makhdoom Arifeen Ideology, along with Ghulam Mohammad Rather (President), Gh. Nabi (General Secretary), and Haji Sahib, led the proceedings. Other prominent figures, including Mohammad Yousuf, Fayaz Reshi, Aijaz Mir, and hundreds of distinguished Hanafi personalities, Ulema, Muftis, and Sajada Nisheens from shrines across Pulwama, were also present on the high platform from where the relics were displayed. The lawns of the shrine of Syed Ahmad Qureshi were jam-packed with male and female devotees, who participated in the blessed gathering. Khwaja Renzushah, recalling Pulwama’s turbulent past, said: “Even when Pulwama was considered the most dangerous and radical district of Kashmir, when bomb blasts, firings, and grenade attacks were common, the traditional display of relics in our Tasawuf tradition was never stopped. This shows the eternal strength of Kashmiri devotion to Awaliya.” He also offered heartfelt prayers, imploring Allah and the Buzargaan-e-Deen to pardon Kashmiris for their unintentional acts. Referring to the recent controversy over the consumption of prohibited meat, he remarked: “Those who were targeted under a clandestine conspiracy and fed haram, rotten frozen meat are innocent. The real criminals are those shielding the frozen mafia.”Dr. Renzushah criticized attempts to silence Kashmiri voices on this issue: “It is unacceptable that these frozen mafia, whose conscience is frozen, are being allowed to argue loudly with weak and mum clergy. Their loud arguments on social media only embolden them further. The people of Kashmir demand that these culprits be brought to justice in full public view.” He urged the top Ulema and respected Moulvies to hold open and impartial discussions, free from the influence of powerful moneyed lobbies. “Those responsible must be made to stand in the dock at Adil Shah Chowk, where ordinary consumers can present their case before honest scholars. Only then can justice be delivered to the victims,” he said.
