Srinagar, July 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has invited online applications for 621 posts in the Health and Medical Education Department under direct recruitment to improve healthcare services across the Union Territory.“The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has received an Indent for filling up vacancies from the Health and Medical Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir under direct recruitment,” the advertisement said.The online application process will open on August 5, 2025, and close on September 3, 2025. The advertisement for UT/Divisional/District Cadre posts includes 297 vacancies for Open Merit (OM), 76 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 65 for Scheduled Tribe 1 (ST1), 51 for Scheduled Tribe 2 (ST2), 36 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 18 for ALC/IB, 43 for Residents of Backward Areas (RBA), and 35 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).The notification further states that a detailed post-wise breakup, eligibility conditions, and other requisite terms are available on the official website www.jkssb.nic.in.Meanwhile, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakina Itoo said that the recruitment drive aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision for improved healthcare and youth employment.“In line with the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision to strengthen healthcare services and generate employment for youth, we are pleased to announce the advertisement of 621 posts in the Health & Medical Education Department,” she said in a post on X.
