Srinagar, Jan 27: J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) has congratulated the PW(R&B) Department, especially the team leader Shailender Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Govt, PWD J&K, for receiving an award for meritorious public service on the 74th Republic Day from the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The JKMEGA in a statement said that “under the able administration (of Shailender Kumar), the department has unleashed its potential to the fullest in various fields, be it online billing mode via JKPWDOMAS, regularization at various levels in engineering cadre, restructuring of the system by bringing more transparency and accountability, reorganization, etc.”.
It is a superlative demonstration of the leadership and dedication towards the service of society, public deliverance and for engineering cadre, the statement said, adding, “We at JKMEGA take this opportunity to thank Shailender Kumar Ji and his entire team of HRM for initiating the process of eradicating the menace of adhocism in the department.”
“We humbly request that in the ongoing reorganization of the R&B Department, due consideration be given to the demands put forth by the JKMEGA for proper utilization of mechanical cadre and paving way for budding mechanical engineers to embrace the government service providing mechanism,” the statement said. “Mechanical engineering being the backbone of modern civilization and the main component of the establishment of incubation centers across different sectors has tremendous requirements in Health, Horticulture, Agriculture and its allied sectors, ropeway projects, hydropower projects, transportation, material testing, electro-mechanical machinery and what not.”
We sincerely hope that the reorganization shall mark the beginning of the new era of mechanization in service deliverables of the department and ensure the fullest utilization of the mechanical cadre in every sector, the JKMEGA said.
