Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today proudly observed ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit of martyrs and luminaries who have contributed to the nation’s progress.

The campaign, launched with great fervor, aims to encapsulate the profound sacrifices and unwavering dedication that have shaped our nation’s journey. The ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign resonates with the essence of patriotism and pays homage to the brave souls who laid down their lives for the nation’s freedom

Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director, JKEDI inaugurated the campaign that witnessed a gathering of all the employees of the Institute, students from Degree College Beerwah and a contingent from 41 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF), all united by a shared sense of purpose. Speaking at the event, Director, JKEDI expressed profound gratitude to the martyrs and luminaries who have contributed to the nation’s progress, emphasizing the campaign’s significance in preserving their legacy.

“This visionary initiative truly summarizes our collective dedication to the cherished ideals of freedom and progress that have shaped our nation’s journey. ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ is poised to ignite a profound sense of belonging among every citizen. It’s a call to action that seeks to inspire and empower, fostering a deep connection with our land and heritage while galvanizing individuals to contribute actively to the holistic growth of our great nation,” said Director JKEDI.

The campaign commenced with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, paying solemn homage to our martyrs and courageous souls. In a remarkable show of unity, the entire JKEDI staff and a BSF contingent wholeheartedly embraced the Panch Pran Pledge. This resolute commitment was further demonstrated through an enthusiastic participation in a cleanliness drive, followed by a resounding unity march, proudly waving the national flag.

Recently JKEDI had felicitated the family of Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shaurya Chakra) during their visit to the Institute. This event served as a poignant moment of introspection, as we stood shoulder to shoulder in unwavering solidarity with the families of these heroic individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The fervor of the campaign resonated across all district offices of JKEDI, as they actively engaged in organizing a diverse array of events at their respective district headquarters. This widespread participation exemplifies the campaign’s reach and impact, uniting communities and fostering a shared sense of purpose and pride.

‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign has a range of impactful programs that aim to foster a deeper connection with our roots and instill a sense of responsibility towards the nation’s development. Key components of the campaign include the installation of ‘Shilaphalakams’ dedicated to freedom fighters and security forces, as well as initiatives such as ‘Panch Pran Pledge,’ ‘Vasudha Vandan,’ and ‘Veeron ka Vandan,’ all of which celebrate the courageous sacrifices of our bravehearts.

In a separate event, one day awareness cum orientation program on entrepreneurship and startups was also organized for the students of Degree College Beerwah at Sempora, Pampore campus of the Institute.
