JKBOSE Chairman extends congratulations to achievers
SRINAGAR, July 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Sunday have announced the results of the annual regular examinations 2024 for class 11th grade in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh union territories. Out of the 123,026 candidates who appeared for the exams, 88,396 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 72 percent.
Girls have excelled again by scoring a pass percentage of 75 percent against 69 percent of the boys. The exam was conducted in the Soft and Hard Zone areas identified in both the Union Territories; the total number of exam centres was 1179.
The results also revealed that 32,163 students achieved distinction, 38,998 got First Division, 16,400 were placed in Second Division, 797 got Third Division, 38 passed additional subjects, 31,174 reappear, and 3,462 failed the examinations.
However, Janvi Sharma from ShikshaNiketan Higher Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar Jammu, has scored the highest marks of 495 out of 500, which is 99%.
The three girl students from Kashmir Valley and five students from Jammu Division have scored 494 out of 500, which is 98.8. These students include Maryam Sahil from Presentation Convent Girls Schools High School Rajbagh Srinagar, FaisaParveen Ali from Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School Sheikh Bagh Srinagar, AurbaMohi-ud-din Government Girls Higher Secondary School AmiraKadal Srinagar, VinayakAmba from Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Sayam Gupta from SP Senior Secondary School Bari Brahmana Samba, Sanvi Gupta from Orientatal Academy Afghan MohalaKacchiChawni Jammu, Jagrity Devi from ShikshaNiketan Higher Secondary School Jeevan Nagar Jammu, and Simran from SP Senior Secondary School Bari Brahmana Samba.
The six students from the Kashmir valley and three students from Jammu division have secured 493 marks out of 500, which is 98.6%. These students include Sheikh Mohammad from Government Boys Higher Secondary School Hazratbal Srinagar, Mohammad Usman from EffEmmChildrens House NaiBastiAnantnag, Sameer Altaf from Government Higher Secondary School MunadKulgam, AbrooArif from SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School SoporeBaramulla, SolhiaRiffatNazirHajahad Public School Awantipora, WamiqAjazWani from Caset Experimental School Kara Nagar Srinagar, AniketKundal from ShikshaNiketan Higher Secondary School Jeevan Nagar Jammu, Kanishka Singh from Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda, and Seerat Fatima from Blue Ribbon Higher Secondary School UdranaBhaderwah.
Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman, JKBOSE congratulated all those from teaching and non-teaching fraternity for their support and extended best wishes to the successful students for their next academic journey. He encouraged those students who have not qualified this time to try their best in forthcoming Bi-annual exams with renewed zeal.
In order to facilitate the access of students to the result gazette, the JKBOSE has made adequate arrangements through various mediums. The result is available online on the official website of JKBOSE www.jkbose.nic.in. Those who don’t have access to Mobile Phones or internet can get their results from their nearest JKBOSE office where the soft copies of result gazettes have been provided. The result is also available in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts for the convenience of the students and general public.
In case of any query regarding the result, the students have been advised to email their queries, if any, at [email protected] (for Jammu Division) and [email protected] (for Kashmir Division) citing all the relevant details which shall be addressed after due processing at the earliest possible. The aggrieved students, if any, can contact their respective schools or the nearest JKBOSE Sub/Branch office. JKBOSE provides an opportunity to the students to get a photocopy and re-evaluation of their answer sheets for which they can apply online after the notification is issued in this regard.
