Srinagar, April 16: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a spell of unstable weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the next few days, with intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds likely to affect several areas.

According to the forecast, April 16 will remain generally dry, though some places may experience brief spells of light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds during the afternoon.

Weather conditions are expected to turn more active between April 17 and 19, with generally cloudy skies and intermittent light rain or thundershowers at many places, particularly during morning and late evening hours. There is also a possibility of gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph and isolated hailstorms during this period.

From April 20 to 24, the weather is likely to remain largely dry across the region, providing a temporary relief from the wet spell. Similar conditions are expected on April 25 and 26, although brief afternoon showers with gusty winds cannot be ruled out at a few locations.

Authorities have issued an advisory for farmers, urging them to suspend agricultural operations from April 17 to 19 in view of the expected adverse weather conditions.
