J&K to Witness Rain and Snowfall at Several places today: MeT

Srinagar, Feb 20: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted light to moderate rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir today, with higher reaches of Chenab Valley and South Kashmir expected to receive moderate to heavy snowfall of 7-12 inches.

According to the forecast, the plains of Jammu may receive light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds at few places today. Higher reaches of North and Central Kashmir may receive light snowfall of 3-6 inches.

The forecast suggests partly cloudy skies from February 21-23, generally cloudy with light rain/snow at scattered places on February 24-25, and light to moderate rain/snow expected at many places from February 26-28.

The weather department has advised tourists, travelers, and transporters to follow administrative and traffic advisories
