Jammu, July 24: J&K Taekwondo Association is going to conduct selection trials of Junior (Kyorugi & Poomsae) Team under the aegis of J&K Sports Council on June 27, 2023 at Jammu.
According to a handout issued by the Association, the said selection trials are open for all Junior Taekwondo players having a registered Black Belt under Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
The selected players will represent J&K in the upcoming 40th National Junior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship and 14th National Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, 2023-24.
“A selection committee has already been framed for the smooth conduct of the trials and fair selection of
the players. J&K Taekwondo Association is committed to support the athletes of J&K and will hold a one week camp also for the selected athletes,” said Ramesh Chander Sharma, General Secretary J&K Taekwondo Association.
The players desirous to take part in the trials can contact Vinod Grewal, Office Secretary, JKTA and register themselves by or before June 26, 2023.
For fulfilling the eligibility criteria, the players should possess Black Belt Certificate, Aadhar Card, Domicile Certificate and JKTA Athlete License and can send all these documents on the email [email protected]
“There won’t be any on-the-spot registration. All the players must register online via contacting Vinod Grewal,” said Mr Sharma.
