Srinagar, Aug 31: J&K Bank facilitated the swift settlement of around 14 insurance claims worth Rs 65 lakh under MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) thereby relieving the affected families of financial burden that would have otherwise been a huge liability for them.
The bank’s Zonal Head (Srinagar) – Shabir Ahmad handed over the symbolic cheques to the nominees/legal heirs of deceased customers in presence of Cluster Heads (Srinagar) Shabir Ahmad Bulla and Asmat Ara, Zonal Head (Credit-Life) PNB MetLife Irfan Ali Zargar, Zonal Insurance Coordinator Manzoor Ahmad, Branch Heads and other officials of the bank and PNB MetLife.
Claimants thanked the bank and its Insurance partner MetLife for the timely settlement and described it as a big relief for their families. “We feel really grateful to have this insurance policy/cover, the timely settlement of which has saved us from the huge financial burden,” they said
Highlighting the need and significance of getting loans insured, Zonal Head (Srinagar) Shabir Ahmad said, “With a Single premium alongside the bank funding option available for the customers, we can safeguard the families of borrowers in case of unforeseen eventualities.”
Zonal Head Credit Life Irfan Ali Zargar stressed upon the borrowers to get their loans insured so that their families don’t have to face financial uncertainty in case of demise.
