Int’l Yoga Day: LG Manoj Sinha leads mass yoga programme at SKICC

Leading the 8th International Yoga Day celebrations Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha along with Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Patil on Tuesday performed Yoga at an event on the banks of the Dal Lake here in Srinagar.

LG Sinha in a tweet while extending the greetings on 8th International day of Yoga urged all to embrace Yoga as an integral part of life for holistic approach to health & well-being.

“Greetings on #InternationalDayofYoga. Participated in #YogaDay2022 along with Hon’ble Union MoS Shri @KapilPatil and hundreds of people at Dal Lake in Srinagar. I urged all to embrace Yoga as an integral part of life for holistic approach to health & well-being”, office of LG J&K tweeted.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Patil, Chief Secretary A K Mehta and Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Junaid Mattu, among others, also participated in the event.

In another tweet LG said the theme for this year emphasizes the message of universal brotherhood in trying times.

Office of LG J&K tweeted, “#YogaForHumanity theme for this year emphasizes the message of universal brotherhood in trying times. This invaluable gift to humanity is being used as a therapeutic intervention for various disorders & bringing equilibrium of body, mind and intellect”.
