Srinagar, Feb 04: In adherence to the explicit directions of the Secretary of Health and Medical Education (HME), Dr. Syed Abid Rashid, the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has undertaken comprehensive initiatives to assess and enhance healthcare facilities across the region. Director Health Services Kashmir personally visited various hospitals in Srinagar, Budgam, and Pulwama to conduct a first-hand appraisal of the healthcare facilities.
Simultaneously, teams of senior officers from the Directorate were dispatched to other districts in the valley to assess healthcare preparations in light of inclement weather conditions. These efforts are in response to the Secretary’s commitment to ensuring the best possible healthcare for the people, particularly during periods of snowfall.
Prior to the field visits, Director Health Services Kashmir held a detailed video conference with officers at the district level. During this conference, the Secretary’s directives were conveyed, emphasizing the need for meticulous preparation to meet the healthcare needs of the public in challenging weather conditions.
In a bid to enhance coordination, the Directorate has designated nodal officers for various districts, facilitating streamlined communication and efficient response mechanisms.
“The health and well-being of the public are our top priorities. The directives from Secretary HME guide our efforts in ensuring that healthcare facilities are well-prepared to meet any challenges posed by inclement weather,” stated the Director Health Kashmir.
