Srinagar, Oct 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government has barred three doctors from private practice for violating the Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) issued by National Health Authority (NHA).
According to the official details reviewed by Rising Kashmir, the doctors who have been banned for carrying out any kind of private practice across the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir are Dr. Junaid Khursheed posted at District Hospital Budgam, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat posted at Sub-District Hospital Sopore and Dr. Yawar Nisar who is posted at Super-Specialty Hospital, Srinagar.
In this regard, an order has also been issued by Secretary to the government Health and Medical Education Department Bhupinder Kumar that reads “Pending enquiry into the allegations, regarding violation of Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) issued by the National Health Authority (NHA), the following doctors are banned from doing any private practice across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, with immediate effect.”
A senior official in the Health and Medical Education Department wishing not to be named said the doctors have been suspended for carrying out the private practices for what he termed serious violation of treatment guidelines.
