Jammu, Oct 03: Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Tuesday stressed the importance of motivation, innovation, and effective teaching methods to encourage learning.
Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future, the DC led a comprehensive review meeting to assess the status and development of the education sector in Jammu district. The meeting delved into various aspects, including building infrastructure, availability, and condition, with a focus on activities related to the Seema Samriddhi Yojana and associated projects. During the session, SDMs were directed to conduct regular inspections of schools within their jurisdictions.
Encouraging proactive involvement, the DC urged teaching staff and officers to brainstorm and identify best practices to enhance the teaching and learning experience. He highlighted the significance of nurturing problem-solving skills among children and underscored the priority of improving education in rural and border areas.
Emphasising the urgency of construction projects, the DC provided explicit instructions to expedite the building process, emphasising the need for swift development activities. Special attention was given to students with special needs, with the DC affirming that addressing their requirements is a collective responsibility of the concerned teachers.
In a bid to enhance the quality of education, the DC welcomed feedback and innovative teaching approaches from attendees. Selected schools will pioneer experimental teaching methodologies, with successful practices set to be implemented district-wide.

The need for motivated teaching staff and innovative teaching methods was emphasized. Engagements with various NGOs provided valuable insights, with a comprehensive discussion on activities under SAMAGRA taking place.
Prior to the meeting, the DC conducted a surprise inspection of Government Boys High Secondary School Gandhinagar. During the visit, he interacted with students, evaluated academic standards, assessed infrastructure, and engaged in productive meetings with school authorities. The DC stressed the imperative need for improved learning outcomes.
