A fire broke out in Ward No. 3 of Ramban market on Saturday, causing significant damage to a shop but fortunately no loss of life.
The blaze triggered a swift response from the Fire & Emergency Department, Police, Civil QRT, and locals, who managed to control the flames before they spread to adjoining shops and residential areas.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, personally reached the spot and supervised the rescue operation to ensure coordinated efforts by all agencies.
Officials said the shop of Rusham Gupta, son of Ram Kishore Gupta, suffered heavy losses in the incident. The DC assured that all possible assistance will be provided to the affected family.
