Srinagar, Nov 25: Examinations for students in grades 1 to 9 at all government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir division have officially commenced. Despite challenging weather conditions in snowbound areas, the assessments have been conducted smoothly, with all necessary facilities provided to the students.
An official from the School Education Department confirmed to Rising Kashmir that the examinations, as per the date sheet issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, were held as scheduled.
“This is a school-based examination. All government and recognized private schools have conducted the assessments, ensuring that essential facilities were available for the students,” the official said.
Ab Majeed Dar, Chief Education Officer for Kupwara district, assured that examinations were held across all schools in the district, including in remote, snow-affected areas.
“In the snowbound areas of Kupwara, the examinations proceeded smoothly. I have directed the concerned Heads of Institutions and Zonal Education Officers to make all necessary arrangements for the students in these areas,” Dar stated.
He added that the weather conditions in these regions remained favorable, enabling students to participate in the exams without disruption.
Meanwhile, Kishore Kumar, Chief Education Officer for Bandipora district, reported that exams in the Gurez sub-division were also conducted without any issues, with all students from the area taking part as per the examination schedule. The successful conduct of these exams, even in the remote and snow-affected regions, reflects the efforts of the School Education Department to ensure uninterrupted education despite challenging weather conditions.
