EPFO Regional Office Srinagar conductsawareness programme in association with SMC

Srinagar, Dec 08:  EPFO Regional Office, Srinagar on Thursday held an awareness and outreach programme for the employees and officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation. 
Suhail Khan, Enforcement Officer and Ankur Janghu, Enforcement Officer addressed the participants during the session under the guidance of Rizwan Uddin, RPFC – I, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The session focused on Social Security benefits available under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 and the Schemes framed thereunder and the major initiatives by EPFO and challenges faced by different stakeholders. 
It was advised that the officials of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation to extend the social security benefits to all the eligible employees at the earliest.
In the morning, a radio programme was held by RJ Nazima with P F Commissioner which was broadcasted on AIR 105 from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. During the programme P F Commissioner addressed on PF, Pension and EDLI Schemes benefits available under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 and general awareness like UAN Activation, KYC, E- nomination, online claim filing. 
PF Commissioner also visited Kashmir University, Central University and other Educational Institutions. Shri Rizwan Uddin also met with Joint Registrar of Kashmir University to sensitize about the Principal Employer and Contractors engaged by them.
Nisar Ahmad an employee of RTC visited Srinagar Office with the grievance that contribution of two employees with same name was submitted to single UAN. RPFC-I advised him to submit application through his employer to rectify the problem. Shri Rizwan Uddin, P F Commissioner heard and redressed the grievances of the stakeholders in evening in the PF Office, Srinagar.
