Police continues its relentless drive against drug trafficking, with a significant arrest made by a team from Police Station Litter on 01.01.2025 during naka checking near Peer Takiyain South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A Police spokesperson said, “During the operation, a suspicious individual attempted to flee upon noticing the naka party but was swiftly intercepted. The individual, identified as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdul Rasheed Bhat R/O Kulpur, was found in possession of 9 lathis of charas-like substance during the search.”
“A case under FIR No. 01/2025 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and an investigation is underway. The contraband was seized as per legal procedures, and the accused was arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985”, he said.
