Dr Farooq, Omar greet people as Eid Milad days begin

Srinagar, Aug 24: National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President & Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on Sunday extended their warmest greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the onset of Ayam-e-Mutabarakah of Eid Milad Un Nabi (SAW).They emphasised the significance of this blessed occasion and urged people to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) while also extending support to those in need.In their messages, Dr Farooq and Omar called upon the people to embrace the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who is the epitome of peace, justice, kindness, and mercy. They expressed their hope that the auspicious occasion would usher in peace, prosperity, and harmony, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir.

Dr Farooq Abdullah, in his message, said, “Islam is a religion of peace, and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stands as the ultimate example of virtue, justice, and benevolence. His message transcends time and continues to guide humanity towards a path of compassion, kindness, and self-improvement. As the final messenger sent by Almighty Allah, Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) teachings are universal and timeless. On this blessed occasion, let us pray for lasting peace and stability in our region and beyond.”Omar Abdullah, in his message, highlighted the spiritual significance of Eid Milad Un Nabi (SAW) as a time for prayer, reflection, and seeking divine forgiveness. He urged the people to pray for wisdom and guidance, following the example set by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).”Let this occasion be a reminder of the profound wisdom imparted by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and inspire us to live lives rooted in peace, love, and brotherhood. May this Eid bring blessings for all of mankind,” he said.General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, and MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar have called for the necessary arrangements to be made at the Asar-e-Sharif Dargah Hazratbal to ensure a peaceful and organised celebration for the public.
